
Moberly is looking to the future upgrade of Moberly High School. Construction is scheduled to start march of 2012 and end the fall of 2013. The $16.2 million renovation of the High School building, includes a complete renovation of all core classrooms, visual arts, administration, media center, a four-classroom wing and new cafeteria and kitchen. Renovations will improve natural light, climate control, student safety and facility maintenance. The City of Moberly sees this as a commitment to the future and the generations to come. |

Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation along with the Chariton County Commissioners and the Salisbury City Council today announced that JC Solutions, LLC producers of products for the Agricultural Sector will establish its manufacturing and packaging operation in Salisbury Missouri. The company will locate in the industrial facility at 400 Highway 24 West formerly occupied by SEMCO. The project will include a capital investment of $1,250,000 and will create dozens of local jobs when in full production.

Moberly, MO, July 26, 2011 Moberly Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Christian Jones will take over the executive leadership of the hospital on August 15, 2011. As the new Chief Executive Officer Jones will succeed Stephen Lunn, who has taken the CEO position at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.
Jones is a familiar face at MRMC. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a bachelor’s in Health Sciences. He then received his MBA from William Woods University in 2002 and then his MHA in 2006. While he was pursuing this educational tract he worked as the Medical Imaging Supervisor at Moberly Regional from 2001 – 2006. Chris was then promoted to Director of Medical Imaging and held that position for two more years. In early 2007, Chris was promoted to Administrative Specialist and was responsible for the administrative oversight of Medical Imaging, Pulmonary Medicine, EEG, EKG, Sleep Lab, Cardiovascular Ultrasound and the Cardiac Cath Lab. Because of his excellent work ethic and success as an Administrative Specialist, it was no surprise to anyone at MRMC that Chris became the Assistant Chief Executive Officer from February 2009 – April 2010.

Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation today announced that Finspeed, LLC producers of high performance racing parts will establish its manufacturing operation in Moberly. The company will co-locate in an existing facility at 715 Sturgeon Street in Moberly. The project will include a capital investment of $1 million and will create 20 new full-time local jobs over the next several years.
“We are excited to welcome Finspeed to Moberly,” said Mayor Bob Riley. Riley went on to say, “As you know, Moberly has a strong tradition of home grown entrepreneurs who have built very successful enterprises doing business all around the world and we have that same expectation for Finspeed.”

AT&T, one of the nation’s largest telecom companies recently presented Moberly Area Economic Development Corp. with the prestigious designation of AT&T FiberPark for the Heights Business Park and the Moberly Area Industrial Park in the progressive community. The designation comes on the heels of the industrial park being named a Certified Site by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
“We are pleased that one of our partners has recognized the investment our community has placed into the development of its industrial and business parks,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development Corp.
“This is also a sign of the commitment and investment that AT&T has placed in the region as well.”
