Moberly Regional Medical Center announced today that Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lunn will be leaving the Moberly area and transitioning to another Community Health Systems sister hospital in Marion, Illinois.
Steve arrived in Moberly in April of 2009 and over the past two years has helped to position Moberly Regional as not only one of the premiere hospitals in the state; but now even a Top 100 hospital in the nation! Steve comments, “One of the things I will miss most about my time here at MRMC will be the employees. The dedication I see from our employees is absolutely top notch. I’m convinced that some don’t even realize how great they are, but I do…and I know our patients see that because they tell me so.”
“The Moberly community welcomed me from day one with open arms. I admire the leadership of the community and their forward thinking, and I appreciate how supportive Randolph County is of growth and entrepreneurship. I will definitely miss that,” comments Steve.
Under the leadership of Steve and the hospital administrative team and board of directors, Moberly Regional has set into motion several recent significant accomplishments including; recruitment of a dozen or more new physicians, beginning a hospitalist program, overhauling the entire ED service line, expanding the Senior Mental Health Unit, adding the cardiac stent program allowing transition to a Heart Center, and a major focus on employee and patient satisfaction.
Steve will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois the first of August. Heartland Regional is an eight year old facility, licensed for 92-beds, and has 600 employees. Although Steve will soon begin a new chapter in his professional career, he will not soon forget the many friends he made during his time here.
