MAEDC Announces New Board Members and Officers
Moberly, MO – During a Board of Directors meeting on December 19th, 2017 several personnel changes were agreed upon for the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC.) Les Keleher’s term as a board member expired, thus leaving the position of Board Chairman open along with his director’s position. To fill his position the Board appointed Russ Freed of Orscheln Properties. Dean Miller, former Vice-Chair, was elevated to Chairman. Jim Bratcher was elected Vice-Chair and Joe Snodgrass was chosen as the Secretary/Treasurer. Debbie Miller, outgoing director of the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce was recognized for her long service, and her successor Megan Schmitt was welcomed.

Jim Bratcher, President of Bratcher’s Market, has been on the board since 2014 as the Past President of the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce and earned a seat as a board member in 2015. In 2018, he will be starting his second 3-year term on the Board of Directors. Joe Snodgrass first joined the Board in 2015 and will assume Jim Bratcher’s former responsibilities as Secretary/Treasurer. Joe Snodgrass is President of Outline Consultants and will be starting with Orscheln Properties after the first of the year.

As a former Chairman, Russ Freed knows what he has signed up for. “MAEDC is a special group, and the expectations are high. The Board of Directors expects a lot of one another and the staff. They always find ways to deliver and be innovative. I am thankful to be asked back and ready for the exciting things to come.” Russ Freed has been active throughout the community for many years and has served several terms on the MAEDC Board of Directors.

MAEDC Board of Directors and staff thanks Dean Miller, Jim Bratcher, Joe Snodgrass, Debbie Miller, Megan Schmitt and Russ Freed for taking on the responsibilities.
