Lindsey McCormick Joining MAEDC as SBDC Counselor

Moberly, MO – Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation, MAEDC, announces Lindsey McCormick will begin with the organization as Entrepreneurship Specialist on April 1, 2019. Lindsey comes to MAEDC with a background in sales and education. She will work primarily with small businesses delivering Small Business Development Center (SBDC) services to clients in Northeast Missouri.

Our search was seeking someone smart, energetic, and outgoing, Lindsey checks all those boxes for us.” Said Michael Bugalski, President of MAEDC, “Lindsey stood out to us as someone who could speak to anyone and she will be a great resource to our local small businesses.”

 

Lindsey has worked in sales and education for almost ten years and has lived in the Moberly area her entire life. McCormick added, “I was interested in the position because I saw an opportunity to put my energy back into our community, contribute to economic growth, and promote small business. I am passionate about all of these things, so to have the opportunity to be an instrumental part of the process, I am beyond excited and thankful. I look forward to the challenges as well as the accomplishments as an SBDC Counselor with MAEDC.”

 

The position is housed within MAEDC to provide SBDC services to 10 counties in Northeast Missouri. McCormick will spend the first several months in the position meeting with existing SBDC clients, training, and meeting new clients. The Missouri SBDC helps business owners make confident decisions to start, grow, and sell their businesses. Services are provided to all Missouri counties in the form of training events and one-on-one coaching/counseling appointments. The Missouri SBDC is a program funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is a partner of the University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program.
