MAEDC has announced the resignation of President/CEO Kaylee Paffrath, effective June 22, 2026. Since joining MAEDC in 2023 and becoming President/CEO in 2024, Paffrath has helped advance business development, regional partnerships, workforce initiatives, and economic growth efforts throughout the Moberly region. Transition plans and interim leadership details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Macon, MO – April 22, 2026 – Chariton Valley has received a $2,500 sponsorship from Macon Elks Lodge #999 to support a Human Trafficking Community Training event scheduled for June 1 at the Macon Expo Center. Led by the Human Trafficking Training Center, the event will equip attendees with the knowledge to recognize warning signs, understand trafficking tactics, and play an active role in prevention.

The Mark Twain Solid Waste Management District Region G will hold a Public Comment Hearing on the District’s Solid Waste Management Plan. The hearing will take place on May 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Randolph County Sheltered Industries, 1751 Robertson Rd, Moberly, MO 65270. Members of the public are invited to attend, review the Mark Twain Solid Waste Management District Plan, and provide public comments.

The Mark Twain Solid Waste Management District is now accepting FY2027 grant applications to support recycling, waste reduction, and hazardous waste initiatives across Northeast Missouri, with funding available for equipment, programs, and collaborative projects.
