Moberly Area Industrial Park’s McKeown Parkway and MFA Oil’s Business Support Center To Be Dedicated

MOBERLY, MO – After years of planning and development the newest industrial park, the Moberly Area Industrial Park in Moberly will be dedicated along with the new road that services current and future businesses in the complex.

The recently completed roadway leading from U.S. Business Highway 63 into the Moberly Area Industrial Park in a ceremony at 12noon on Friday, December 4th will be named McKeown Parkway. McKeown Parkway is being named after the late Dennis McKeown, long-time Moberly businessman and civic leader that played a pivotal role in the development of industrial park.

“Dennis was a long standing champion of growing local business and recruiting new business investment to our community,” said Bob Riley, Mayor of the City of Moberly. “When we needed to do something for our local business community Dennis and the entire McKeown family supported it. This is our way of saying thank you.”

The Moberly Area Industrial Park is 200 acres of rail served greenfield industrially zoned land lying less than a mile from U.S Highway 63, the main north-south 4-lane highway in central Missouri. The industrial park contains several large tracts of land for development and is supplied with large amounts of utility capacity.

“The completion of McKeown Parkway came as a result of a partnership with the City of Moberly, MFA Oil and the Economic Development Administration,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development. “This industrial park places our community in the forefront of the minds of those decision makers searching for the best location for their business investment.”

“Twice in the recent past the Moberly Area Industrial Park has been chosen by Trade & Industry Development Magazine as one of America’s Top Sites for industrial development,” said David Gaines, Vice President of Moberly Area Economic Development.

In addition the park has earned the

of a Certified Site from the State of Missouri, the 6th in the State’s program. It also has the distinction of been named an Ameren Elite Site for its electrical capacity for future manufacturing and an AT&T Certified Fiber Park for the park’s fiber optic communications infrastructure.

MFA Oil’s Business Support Center is the main distribution facility for Break Time Convenience stores throughout several states. The center contains product research and development for MFA Oils brand of fuels and lubricants as well as administrative offices and large training facilities for employees company wide.

The facility also is the main repair facility for the truck fleet for MFA Oil and MFA Propane throughout the company. When fully staffed the MFA Oil’s newest facility will support over 6 dozen full-time employees.
