Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation Announces Departure of President/CEO Kaylee Paffrath

Moberly, MO – The Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC) announces the resignation of President/CEO Kaylee Paffrath, effective June 22, 2026.
Paffrath joined MAEDC in February 2023 as Director of Business Development before being named President/CEO in February 2024. Throughout her tenure, she has led the organization through a period of strategic growth, regional collaboration, infrastructure advancement, and expanded business development efforts throughout Moberly, Randolph County, and Howard County.
During her time with MAEDC, Paffrath played a key role in advancing critical economic development initiatives, including industrial park expansion, business retention and attraction, workforce development partnerships, grant opportunities, and strengthened regional and statewide collaboration.
“Moberly and the surrounding region have benefited greatly from Kaylee’s leadership, vision, and commitment to economic growth,” said Ray Stewart, Chairman of the MAEDC Board of Directors. “Her contributions to regional collaboration, business development, and community advancement have positioned MAEDC and our partner communities for continued success. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank Kaylee for her dedication and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.”
Paffrath stated, “Serving MAEDC and the Moberly region has been an incredible honor. Beginning my journey here as Director of Business Development and later serving as President/CEO has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my professional career. I am deeply grateful for the trust, support, and collaboration of our Board, investors, partners, and community stakeholders.”
The MAEDC Board of Directors will announce transition plans and interim leadership arrangements in the coming weeks to ensure continuity of operations and ongoing project support. MAEDC remains committed to its mission of promoting investment, supporting business expansion, fostering entrepreneurship, and advancing community development throughout the region.
