MOBERLY, MO (June 3, 2026) – Community leaders, economic development partners, elected officials, and business representatives gathered today to celebrate the completion of major infrastructure improvements at the Moberly Area Industrial Park (MAIP), marking a significant investment in the future economic growth of Moberly and Randolph County.

The $3.14 million project was made possible through a collaborative partnership between the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), the Missouri Department of Economic Development through the Governor's Cost Share Program and Missouri Industrial Site Development Program, the City of Moberly, Randolph County, the Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments, and a land contribution from Moberly Holding Company.

The project included critical roadway and infrastructure improvements designed to enhance transportation access, improve connectivity to major highways, strengthen industrial recruitment efforts, and support the continued expansion of existing businesses within the industrial park.

"This project represents far more than a new roadway," said Kaylee Paffrath, President and CEO of MAEDC. "It is an investment in jobs, business growth, and the long-term competitiveness of our community. Strategic infrastructure investments like this create the foundation for private investment and position Moberly to capitalize on future economic opportunities."

The ribbon cutting ceremony featured remarks from Mayor Brandon Lucas, Randolph County Presiding Commissioner Sid Conklin, Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments Executive Director Cindy Hultz, Missouri Department of Economic Development Division Director Kim Froemsdorf, U.S. Economic Development Administration Regional Director Angela Martinez, EquipmentShare Vice President of Strategy and Development Brian Treece, and Keith Killen, Assistant District Engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

The improvements directly benefit existing employers within the industrial park, including EquipmentShare, JBS Prepared Foods, and Everlast Worldwide, while creating opportunities for future industrial development and job creation.

EquipmentShare, one of the industrial park's growing employers, currently employs dozens of workers at its Moberly facility and continues to invest in advanced manufacturing operations. JBS Prepared Foods has expanded to become one of the region's largest employers, while Everlast Worldwide continues to strengthen Moberly's manufacturing base through its operations in the industrial park.

MAEDC also recognized the project team responsible for bringing the investment to fruition, including Tom Sanders, Public Works Director for the City of Moberly; Steve Schultz and the team at Bartlett & West; and Clark Johnson and the team at Emery Sapp & Sons.

"Projects of this magnitude require strong partnerships and a shared vision," said Paffrath. "Today's celebration reflects years of collaboration among local, state, and federal partners who believe in Moberly's future and understand the importance of investing in infrastructure to support economic growth."

The completion of the project further enhances the readiness of the Moberly Area Industrial Park to accommodate future industrial investment, support business retention and expansion efforts, and strengthen the region's position as a competitive location for manufacturing, logistics, and advanced industry.
