Kaylee Paffrath Receives Missouri Certified Economic Developer (MoCED) Designation from the Missouri Economic Development Council
Moberly, Missouri – June 5, 2025 – Kaylee Paffrath, President and CEO of the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC), has earned the Missouri Certified Economic Developer (MoCED) credential from the Missouri Economic Development Council (MEDC). Paffrath was recognized for this achievement at the MEDC Annual Conference, held June 2–4, 2025, in Branson, Missouri.
The MoCED designation acknowledges the Missouri economic development practitioner’s commitment to advancing Missouri’s economy and elevating the economic development profession. To achieve the MoCED designation, candidates must pass a rigorous exam that demonstrates a broad understanding of Missouri’s economic development assets and the ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource and liaison for businesses and communities as they grow and thrive in Missouri.
Since taking on the role of President/CEO at MAEDC in 2024, Paffrath has led a dynamic portfolio of business attraction, retention, and expansion projects across Randolph County. Under her leadership, MAEDC has focused on strengthening workforce partnerships, advancing site development efforts, and creating innovative strategies to support entrepreneurship and regional competitiveness.
“Having knowledgeable and dedicated economic development professionals representing Missouri allows this state to compete nationally and globally for economic growth and prosperity,” said Carolyn Chrisman, MEDC President. “The MoCED certification recognizes that knowledge and dedication, and we congratulate our newly certified members.”
