MAEDC recently traveled to the Minneapolis region to participate in the Community Venture Network (CVN), a one-day event focused on connecting growing companies with economic development partners, communities, and investment resources.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing directly from presenters that are actively exploring growth and expansion opportunities, including:

  • Hadkins Manufacturing Solutions - a CNC machine shop serving defense, maritime, and agriculture sectors, exploring larger facility options and financing pathways.

  • Watershed Foods - a global supplier evaluating future expansion and regional capabilities.

  • BuzzCare - a startup introducing rural prescription delivery through long-range drone technology.

  • Verdant Organics - an innovative indoor agriculture company exploring partnerships for a large-scale facility.

  • Step One Foods - focused on scaling food-based solutions for chronic disease through expanded manufacturing models.

These presentations gave MAEDC valuable insights into emerging trends across advanced manufacturing, food production, healthcare innovation, and sustainable agriculture.

Participating in CVN helps MAEDC strengthen regional relationships, stay engaged in project pipelines, and continue positioning Moberly and Randolph County as competitive locations for future investment and job growth.
