Phynx Fiber Announces Gigabit Fiber Internet Expansion into Moberly

Today Phynx Fiber announced the addition of gigabit fiber Internet access to both homes and businesses in Moberly. This new service will provide fiber connections directly to each participating residence and business once the infrastructure is in place.

The company’s engineering team is finalizing their infrastructure blueprints for Moberly. This model divides neighborhoods into what they call “fiberhoods” in order to group nearby homes based on population density, so residents have an equal chance of getting fiber first based on that fiberhood’s level of interest.

“We’re extremely excited about our expansion into Moberly and are looking forward to providing an alternative Internet option focused on speed, reliability and customer service,” said Caleb Pashia, Director of Operations for Phynx Fiber. “Phynx is very happy to see Moberly join the ranks of large cities like Kansas City with first class fiber internet.”

This gigabit fiber Internet service will be available for both residential and business purposes. Fiber will also be included in revitalization efforts through the Moberly downtown Community Improvement District.

“Rural high-speed Internet access is critical to attract new business investment from existing or new employers, assist law enforcement, improve rural healthcare and expand education and worker training opportunities,” said Corey Mehaffy, President of Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation. “Our businesses are competing in a global economy which requires continued expansion of fiber-optic networks to meet new technological requirements. We are grateful for our partnership with Phynx Fiber and their willingness to offer cost-effective, reliable internet services in Moberly.”
